A dedicated group of community members, University of Delaware and state government representatives, town leaders and many others came together to make the Fall Ramble Along Broad Creek an amazing event! The feedback received from those who attended was very positive and there was already a buzz about whether or not Laurel might make this an annual event.
People don’t seem to be waiting another year though . . . While a small group of volunteers spent part of Sunday morning completing some final clean-up activities, they noticed a young couple with their toddler strolling along the riverwalk that had been chalked in!
The overall response to the Fall Ramble on September 26 would not have resulted without these incredible efforts to work together to produce a fun, informative and engaging event for everyone to enjoy (despite enduring a bit of dreary weather and a windy day). We are convinced that the planning team has the leadership, the energy and the experience to make Laurel’s downtown everything that you dream it could be.
The event day has come and gone, but the spirit of The Ramble is shining brightly! We look forward to continuing to work with you as we all vigorously push ahead with the planning and implementation of your vision for revitalizing the Broad Creek waterfront. We can make this happen!
