This year marks the 22nd Annual Fourth of July Festival, sponsored by the Town of Laurel. The day will include a Prayer Breakfast at 8 a.m.; all other events will begin at 4:30 p.m., with the band Running With Scissors performing.
The parade will begin at 5 p.m., Cruisin’ Thru Time is the theme. A Little Miss Independence Pageant will be held at 6:30 p.m., then the band Chain Break will perform.

Following the parade, there will be a pie-eating contest in Market Square Park. The Mayor’s Cornhole Contest will be held at 7:30 p.m. Anyone can participate.
Jamel the Magician will be part of the parade and events that evening from 6 to 9 p.m. A carnival will be held and helicopter rides are scheduled.
Delmarva Board Sports Adventures will be set up for kayak and paddle board rentals. There will be food and non food vendors.
