The Laurel Town Council and Mayor John Shwed are scheduled to review the final draft of Laurel’s 10-year Comprehensive Plan update. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 18.

Laurel’s Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on the plan at its August 9 meeting. Commission members, the Mayor, Laurel Town Council, and several state agencies have all made recommendations based on the initial plan draft.

On September 13, the Planning and Zoning is expected to review final changes and recommend for or against adoption of the plan by the Mayor and Council.
