The Town of Laurel will host a Downtown Development District workshop on Tuesday, September 26 at the Laurel Public Library.
If you are a property owner with the DDD – business or residential – you should attend to learn of all the incentives available to your for rehabilitation or new construction. Besides the town incentives of property tax abatement on all improvements for five years and sewer/water impact fee reductions for new connections, there are many others: state grants to offset the costs of improvements, business facade improvement, the state Historic Tax Credit, energy efficiency rebates, USDA loans and grants, and others. You will also learn about financing options.
Realtors, prospective property owners and others with an interest in Laurel’s redevelopment are welcome.
The workshop will begin at 5 p.m. with light refreshments.
