The Ramble waterfront redevelopment project is moving forward. A comprehensive stormwater management feasibility study has been completed by Foresite Associates, and treatment options will be reviewed with the Laurel Town Council during its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, April 4.
The designs being recommended will serve The Ramble waterfront redevelopment plans and are aimed at protecting and improving the water quality conditions of the Broad Creek. With new emphasis on Laurel’s waterways as a top paddling and nature tourism destination, maintaining the ecological value of those resources will ensure that visitors continue to appreciate the area and the low-impact recreational activities being featured.
Funding for the study was provided through a DNREC Coastal Management Assistance grant secured by the Laurel Redevelopment Corporation with legislative matching funds offered by Rep. Tim Dukes.
